Stir Fried Radish
You will need:
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/4 tsp mustard seeds
Radish, very thinly sliced, about 2 cups
1/2 cup white onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1/2 tsp lime juice
1/2 teaspoon salt (or more to taste)
1/4 teaspoon Garam masala
Heat oil in a wide skillet on medium heat, then add the mustard seeds. When they start sputtering, add radish spread out in skillet evenly, fry on medium heat until slightly softened, about seven minutes. Then add the onions, garlic, chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin, lime juice and mix really well to combine. Sprinkle on salt. Then, add the garam masala and give it a good stir. Serve hot with rice. Enjoy!

Wow! Great recipe. I'm glad to know another person who enjoys stir-fried radishes. I also stir fry the greens when they are young and I am thinning the rows.
It is too bakey hot here in Wisconsin to grow them right now. I'm going to try some in an empty cold frame in the fall.
Tired of watering, Begonia
Thanks! I have been hearing about the crazy heat this summer in WI. Hope you're able to grow radishes this winter.
